I’m the first to admit that I don’t have a “glue gun” thumb (i.e. I’m not crafty), but I do get the urge to try a project now and then.
Here’s an excuse to experiment for less. Check out these good deals from JoAnn’s Fabrics and Michaels. They both expire this Saturday, so use ‘em or lose ‘em.

My husband and kids always tease me that I’m on Facebook all the time. But it really is used for more than just reconnecting with friends. I use Twitter and Facebook to find good deals this holiday season.
Check out www.couponcraze.com (for online shopping codes) or www.coupongal.com for help with your Black Friday plan. Both of these sites also post to Facebook and Twitter.
Whether you plan to shop in the wee hours of the morning on Black Friday or if you intend to shop online instead, these sweet tweets can save you some serious cash.

With Halloween behind us, but the remnants of the season still on our minds (and in giants bowls in our kitchens), today’s Hot Topic is about Halloween goodies.
Question: What do you do with all of your children’s leftover Halloween candy? How much do you let them have?

It’s amazing how certain words are as irritating as nails on a chalkboard. A recent poll I read listed five of the most hated phrases in the English language. Here they are:
1. “Whatever”
2. “You know …”
3. “It is what it is”
4. “Anyway …”
5. “At the end of the day…”
