Facebook and Twitter Can Save You Money This Holiday Shopping Season
My husband and kids always tease me that I’m on Facebook all the time. But it really is used for more than just reconnecting with friends. I use Twitter and Facebook to find good deals this holiday season.
Check out www.couponcraze.com (for online shopping codes) or www.coupongal.com for help with your Black Friday plan. Both of these sites also post to Facebook and Twitter.
Whether you plan to shop in the wee hours of the morning on Black Friday or if you intend to shop online instead, these sweet tweets can save you some serious cash.

A few days after Halloween one year my toddler got into trouble for misbehaving. I explained to her what she had done wrong and how she could make a better choice next time. I gave her a hug and said, “What do you say?” She innocently looked up at me and said, “Trick-or-treat?”
With Halloween behind us, but the remnants of the season still on our minds (and in giants bowls in our kitchens), today’s Hot Topic is about Halloween goodies.
Question: What do you do with all of your children’s leftover Halloween candy? How much do you let them have?

Finish the following sentence:
I knew I had really become an adult when…
I wanted to call someone to rescue me from my crazy life but my mom was on vacation, so I had to deal with it on my own.
Or…

Or…
When I saw my husband hold our newborn.
Question: How would you finish the sentence?

It’s amazing how certain words are as irritating as nails on a chalkboard. A recent poll I read listed five of the most hated phrases in the English language. Here they are:
1. “Whatever”
2. “You know …”
3. “It is what it is”
4. “Anyway …”
5. “At the end of the day…”
Question: Which expressions do you despise the most?

One of the biggest barriers to exercise is finding time. With multiple children and packed daily lives it seems like a daunting to task to add a daily workout to the routine. How have you found the time to exercise? What do you do for a workout? What has worked best for you?

I’m sure by now you’re kids have decided what they want to be for Halloween, but what about you? Do you dress up? If so, what are you planning to dress up as this year? What have you done in the past to create really fun adult halloween costumes?

How worried are you about the swine flu hitting your household? Will your family get a flu shot this year? What have you done, if anything, to protect your family from the swine flu?

For the next few weeks I’d like to pose a question each Wednesday exploring moms’ opinions about different hot topics. Some of them are more hot-button topics than others. Others may come straight from the headlines while some are just for fun. Regardless of where they originate, I hope they will inspire thoughts and commentary. Please share your opinions and offer your perspective.
I’d thought we’d start off the sounding board on the lighter side. I actually found this question to be a stumper for me. (I had no idea I would be so indecisive on this one.) With the fall television season upon us, I thought it would be timely to ask this question: If you were only allowed to watch one TV show per week, which would it be?
